According to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Compulsory Environmental Insurance”
Liability insurance for individuals and (or) legal entities, carrying out environmentally hazardous types of economic and other activities.
The main principles of compulsory environmental insurance are
- damages guarantee;
- ensuring the fulfillment by the parties of their obligations under the compulsory environmental insurance agreement;
- economic incentives for preventing emergency environmental pollution.
Insurance period
The UES insurance policy is valid for 12 months.
What is an insured event?
An insured event is the fact of the occurrence of civil liability of the insured to eliminate (remediate) environmental damage caused as a result of an accident.
Amounts of insurance amounts are established by agreement of the parties
- from 5,000 MCI with an individual, is an individual entrepreneur
- from 65,000 MCI with a legal entity.
Insurance premium
The amount of the insurance premium is established by agreement of the parties, but the amount of the insurance premium should be for an individual entrepreneur and a legal entity from 0.76% to 2.65% of the insured amount.
Amount of insurance payments?
Insurance payment is made in the amount of, determined by the insurer based on the cost of elimination (remediation) of environmental damage, taking into account the provisions of paragraph 2 of Article 7 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Compulsory Environmental Insurance”.
